This is not about politics. It’s about leadership.
It’s about preserving what makes Parker special while planning wisely for its future.
Leadership, to me, means showing up, listening carefully, and making tough decisions when necessary. It means thinking strategically while ensuring day-to-day operations are handled effectively by our City Administrator. The Mayor’s role is to cast vision, provide oversight, and help guide long-term planning for our city’s future.
Local government cannot solve all of the world’s problems — but it can and should take care of the everyday needs of its citizens; public safety, well maintained roads, proper drainage and water.

This position is a time-consuming volunteer role, and I am incredibly grateful for those who have sacrificed their time and energy to lead our town through the years. My husband and I are now retired empty nesters and I feel this is the season for me to give back to Parker.
If I am blessed enough to earn your vote, I am not naïve to believe I have all the answers. But I do know this: We live in a community filled with wisdom, talent, experience, and skill - and we should be utilizing it. We must move projects from discussion to action, and from action to measurable results. Too often, during a campaign candidates talk about what needs to change. But once elected, life moves on and momentum slows. That won't happen if I'm elected. I believe in follow-through. I believe in accountability. And I believe in putting in the hard work to get the job done.
Strong leadership isn’t about reacting to the crisis of the moment. It’s about being proactive. It’s about strategic planning. It’s about putting processes and procedures in place so our city runs smoothly, efficiently, and responsibly. This happens to be an area where I do have experience: Through my career in non-profit leadership, service on boards and committees, homeschooling and running a medical office; I have spent years building programs, establishing procedures, creating structure, organizing systems, and implementing thoughtful plans.
After attending council meetings and workshops over this past year, it has become clear that this is one area where our city has much room for growth. My collaborative approach to leadership and focus on measurable goals would offer a fresh prospective to the current office.

Keeping Parker Country

My family has proudly called Parker home for 13 years. We have experienced firsthand the joy of the country feeling, and sense of community that make this town so special. I am grateful God blessed me with the opportunity to homeschool our son. Now that he has graduated and is running his own company, and my husband is retired, I feel this is my season to give back.

Managing a household

While I will always be proud of being a Baylor Bear - since our son became a SunDevil my heart now bleeds maroon and gold. I served on Arizona State University Parent Leadership Council for 3.5 years and continue to serve as a Parent Ambassador. I have enjoyed the privilege of speaking with parents across the country, helping them transition their students from high school to college.

I have a heart for volunteerism and believe God created us for community. On my first mission trip to the Amazon, I fell in love with the people of the River and go back as often as I can. I also love nature and enjoy hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, gardening, bird watching and just sitting on our back patio with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. I also enjoy traveling and playing games with family and friends.
